Day Two: San Jose, CA to Carson, CA (via US 101)Miles today: 428 Total Miles: 747 |
| Once again left later than intended. It takes a lot of time to get up, feed the guineas, clean their carrier, get dressed, and get all of us and our stuff back into the car. Got off of 101 and drove out to Highway 1 at Monterey. |

Cut back inland to 101. I would've loved to drive Highway 1 all the way to LA, but it would've taken way too much time.

US 101 follows the old El Camino Real (The Mission Route) for most of its journey from Southern to Central California. These bells mark its route. |

Stopped for lunch at Pismo Beach.

Part of a million dollar view at Pismo Hit Santa Barabara in time for rush hour traffic, and Ventura/Oxnard around sunset. Rolled into Carson to stay with friends around 8 pm. |
